How you test the all-call

Quick question: do you run a daily all-call test from your console, or just rely on the weekly drill? I’ve been doing a 0545 check on the APX console and the tone-remote backup, verifying channels 3/5 and a simulated E-stop in TMDS, because when something goes sideways I want that path proven.

I don’t run a full all-call daily — just a 0600 scripted tone/voice from the APX and a tone-remote key-up, alternating ch 3/5 so the logger proves both; the TMDS E-stop sim is weekly. The long blasts at 0545 wake half the yard, , so I keep it to a 5-sec “test only” and watch RSSI/return audio. @OP, are you getting any nuisance TMDS hits when you fire the E-stop?
