How do you manage maintenance and dispatch over such expansive territories in your own region?
BNSF has the most route miles in the U.S., and at that scale you break the railroad into subdivisions with dedicated dispatcher desks, tight maintenance curfews, and tools like PTC/TMS to keep meets and work windows predictable. In our patch we run two night curfews a week on the main, rotate a geometry car through quarterly, and lean on hotbox/dragging equipment detectors about every 20-30 miles so we can fix small problems before they become line-stoppers.
