Why did the train get kicked out of the bar

It couldn’t stop boozing up the tracks! Seriously though, you wouldn’t believe the antics some conductors pull after a long shift. I once saw a buddy try to convince the freight cars to join him for karaoke! Safety first, but we’ve got to laugh a little, right?

I remember one time after a long shift, my buddy tried to get the entire crew to belt out ‘Chattanooga Choo Choo’ on the loudspeaker — it was hilarious! But, those antics can get a bit wild; just make sure to keep things light and not too crazy, or you might end up with a delayed departure. Have you ever pulled a stunt like that?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

It’s wild what happens after a few rounds; i saw a conductor challenge the engineers to a dance-off once — pretty sure the freight cars were judging! What do you think the craziest late-shift story is?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‍‍‌‌

You’re spot on about how those post-shift shenanigans can get out of hand! I once witnessed a crew challenge each other to a karaoke showdown using the train’s PA system. Just be careful though — mixing too much fun with the responsibility of operating a train isn’t always a good idea! What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen during a shift?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‌‌

Sounds like our buddy’s going for the gold in post-shift entertainment! I once saw a conductor try to serenade the passengers with ‘I’ve Been Working on the Railroad’ — talk about whisking everyone off their feet! Have you ever had to step in and be the ‘responsible adult’ during one of those antics?

‌‍‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‍‌‍‌‌‌‍‍‌‌

the karaoke shenanigans drive me nuts sometimes! I once had a conductor who thought he was a rockstar and kept using the intercom to belt out ‘Train, Train!’ after every trip. It’s entertaining, but really, safety first, right?
